    A Security Guard’s main priority is safety and security; however customer service in all points of contact with the public, tenants and clients is of paramount importance. The 3 S’s are integral for success: Security, Safety and Service Excellence. Security stands for providing a safe environment for clients and their customers. Safety reduces liability by maintaining the health and safety of its clients, patrons and employees. Service Excellence is a culture that elevates customer service to a higher standard by demonstrating mutual respect for your fellow employee, customers and all other points of contact.

     

    Purple Hearts Security and its staff will act with honesty, integrity and accountability at all times, treating all clients and customers with respect. The Supervisors and Management Team of Purple Hearts Security will be visible and actively involved in addressing their client’s needs, inquiries and concerns.

     

    To increase the Security Guard’s role in Customer Service, a higher standard of training is used that focuses on core fundamentals:

     

    • Importance of greeting and making eye contact; smiling and exhibiting a friendly demeanour
    • Awareness of body language and its effects and perceptions to customers
    • Building relationships and rapport with customers
    • Awareness of all special events, promotions and amenities to assist with customer’s inquiries and ultimately, enhance the level of customer service

     

    What Can You Expect from a Purple Hearts Security Guard?

      

    • Trained in their authorities as a Security Guard under Ontario Law
    • Valid Security Guard Licence and associated requirements compliant with the Private Security and Investigative Services Act (PSISA) of Ontario
    • Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR or Advanced First Aid Responder
    • Communication skills (verbal and report writing) above industry standards
    • Excellent Customer Service skills
    • Smart Serve Certification, as applicable
    • Site-specific training
